Tour Edge Exotics XCG-V Driver The XCG-V is a masterpiece of style and performance featuring a titanium cup face, an ultra light magnesium crown, and a v-shaped high-density steel sole. Saving every ounce of weight, the three pieces are bonded through a revolutionary no-weld process called combo-brazing. The V-series exhibits superb command compliments of a newly-designed heavy v-shaped sole. The engineered sole places 49% of the club's weight below the ball and in the rear corners. This advanced weighting is possible because of the driver's unique titanium cup face and magnesium crown. Two times lighter, the magnesium crown shifts more weight to the sole creating a deeper center of gravity. This use of magnesium makes the XCG the most forgiving Exotics driver ever. Capable of producing extreme distance, the XCG-V's cup-face is a remarkable 125% larger than previous models. Raising the bar on distance capabilities, the XCG-V's new titanium cup-face is 25% larger than previous models for even more explosive power and distance. This engineering advancement creates a bigger hot zone for impressive power even on off-center hits. Consistent with Exotics technology, the V-series also has an extremely low spin rate, optimizing trajectory and maximizing length. The unique titanium cup face and hosel design is expensive feature that allows an additional 30 grams of weight to be transferred to the high-density steel sole to deliver unsurpassed feel and responsiveness. Built with pure Exotics sophistication, 80% of the XCG-V's total head weight is in the rear heel and toe of the sole . This set up is achieved by the heavy high-density steel sole plate. Weighing in at 184 grams, the unique v-shape sole shifts more weight to the rear corners of the club head for greater forgiveness. The resulting center of gravity angle is extremely deep and helps the club face square at impact with more force for a quick launch and longer, more accurate shots.
